What You'll Achieve:
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in developing and implementing advanced reservoir simulation models
- Drive production optimization through innovative well design and enhanced oil recovery techniques
- Collaborate with geoscientists to identify and capitalize on new exploration opportunities
- Maintain compliance with stringent safety and environmental regulations (API 65-1, ISO 14001)
- Present technical findings to executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize drilling/completion programs for unconventional reservoirs
- Conduct economic analysis of field development projects using Petrel and Nexus software
- Develop production forecasting models with 10+ year outlooks
- Manage reservoir surveillance programs and recommend operational adjustments
- Mentor junior engineers through technical training programs
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and regulatory documentation
- Stay current with emerging technologies in digital oilfield solutions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of upstream oil & gas experience with unconventional plays
- Advanced proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, CMG)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Demonstrated success in EOR project implementation
- Strong analytical skills with production optimization background
- Experience with horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing operations
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
