Responsibilities
- Design and optimize well completions and hydraulic fracturing programs for shale plays
- Conduct reservoir modeling using industry-standard software (e.g., PETREL, Eclipse)
- Analyze production data to identify underperforming wells and recommend workovers
- Develop field development plans and economic models for new acreage
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate cross-functional project reviews
- Present technical findings to senior management and external partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of upstream oil & gas engineering experience
- Expertise in reservoir simulation and production optimization
- Strong proficiency in well design and hydraulic fracturing
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in PETREL, Eclipse, and production analysis software
- Experience with unconventional shale plays (Eagle Ford, Permian preferred)
- Demonstrated success in field development planning and economic modeling
