Responsibilities
- Design and optimize drilling programs for deepwater exploration projects
- Develop reservoir simulation models to forecast production rates and reserves
- Lead cross-functional teams in well completion design and hydraulic fracturing
- Analyze production data to identify efficiency improvements and cost reduction opportunities
- Ensure compliance with API, NORSOK, and international safety standards
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge transfer through technical workshops
- Collaborate with geoscientists to integrate seismic data into reservoir characterization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of upstream oil & gas experience with deepwater project exposure
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, CMG) and well design tools
- Strong analytical skills with experience in production optimization techniques
- API 510/570 certifications or equivalent industry credentials
- Demonstrated project leadership in complex drilling environments
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to stakeholders
- Knowledge of emerging carbon capture technologies in oil & gas operations
