Responsibilities
- Design and execute advanced drilling programs using cutting-edge simulation software
- Conduct reservoir modeling and production forecasting to optimize field development
- Lead feasibility studies for unconventional extraction techniques (shale, tight formations)
- Develop cost-effective well completion and stimulation strategies
- Ensure compliance with API, ISO, and environmental safety regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of project deliverables
- Collaborate with geoscience teams to integrate geological data into engineering models
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of upstream oil & gas experience
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, Nexus, tNavigator)
- Strong knowledge of horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing technologies
- Experience with production optimization and artificial lift systems
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Demonstrated project management for field development projects
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to interpret complex geological and engineering data
