Responsibilities
- Design and optimize drilling programs for unconventional shale plays using advanced reservoir simulation software
- Analyze production data to identify enhanced oil recovery (EOR) opportunities and implement field development plans
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in integrating seismic interpretation, petrophysical analysis, and well performance data
- Develop economic models for project valuation and capital allocation decisions
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and industry best practices in all engineering deliverables
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of upstream oil & gas experience with shale reservoirs
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation tools (e.g., Eclipse, Nexus, Petrel)
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience in production optimization
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proven track record of leading successful field development projects
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical findings to executive stakeholders
