Responsibilities
- Design and optimize drilling/completion programs for shale gas and tight oil reservoirs
- Lead reservoir simulation studies using software like Petrel and Eclipse
- Conduct economic analysis for field development plans
- Mentor junior engineers and cross-functional project teams
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements
- Present technical findings to executive stakeholders and investors
- Collaborate with geoscience teams to maximize recovery factors
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of upstream oil & gas experience with shale plays
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation and well design software
- Proven track record in field development planning
- Strong analytical skills with reservoir characterization expertise
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Experience with horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing technologies
- Demonstrated leadership in multidisciplinary projects
