Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to optimize field development plans
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in production enhancement and well stimulation projects
- Analyze geological and engineering data to identify new drilling opportunities
- Develop cost-effective strategies for water management and waste reduction
- Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge transfer across technical teams
- Ensure compliance with industry safety standards and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with data scientists to integrate AI/ML into predictive maintenance systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in upstream oil & gas operations
- Expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, Nexus)
- Proven track record in horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing optimization
- Strong analytical skills with experience in production forecasting and economic evaluation
- Certified Petroleum Engineer (SPE) designation required
- Proficiency in Python/R for data analysis and automation
- Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC and H2S certifications
