Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel)
- Lead feasibility studies for unconventional extraction techniques including hydraulic fracturing and enhanced oil recovery
- Develop production optimization strategies for mature and greenfield assets
- Prepare detailed well design plans and AFEs (Authority for Expenditure) documents
- Conduct economic analysis for field development projects with 5-10 year horizons
- Mentor junior engineers and foster cross-functional collaboration with geoscience teams
- Ensure compliance with API, NORSOK, and ISO 14001 environmental standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in upstream operations with deep-water project exposure
- Advanced proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, Nexus) and well design tools
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proven track record of optimizing field economics through technical innovation
- Strong understanding of US Gulf Coast regulatory frameworks
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Valid H2S Alive and First Aid/CPR certifications
