Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to optimize recovery strategies
- Lead well design, drilling programs, and completion techniques for unconventional resources
- Develop production enhancement plans through artificial lift and water management systems
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend operational improvements
- Coordinate with geoscientists and drilling teams to integrate subsurface surface data
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and economic evaluations for investment decisions
- Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence within the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in upstream oil & gas operations
- Advanced proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., PETREL, ECLIPSE)
- Strong understanding of well design, hydraulic fracturing, and horizontal drilling
- Experience with production optimization and decline curve analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary projects in complex environments
- Knowledge of digital oilfield technologies and data analytics
