Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to optimize hydrocarbon recovery
- Lead drilling and completion programs for unconventional assets (shale, tight sands)
- Analyze production data to identify enhancement opportunities and reduce operational costs
- Develop wellbore designs and artificial lift solutions for challenging environments
- Prepare technical documentation including AFEs, reservoir reports, and feasibility studies
- Mentor junior engineers and cross-functional project teams
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in upstream oil & gas operations
- Expert proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Nexus)
- Proven track record in horizontal drilling and hydraulic fracturing optimization
- Strong analytical skills with experience in production data analysis
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Deep understanding of Texas Gulf Coast geological formations
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication abilities
