The Role
As a Senior Petroleum Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of reservoir management strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and safety compliance across all drilling sites.
Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced reservoir characterization and simulation to optimize field development plans.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for increased recovery rates.
- Lead technical studies for new well locations and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols and regulatory standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and geoscientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations.
- Proficient in industry-standard software such as Petrel, Eclipse, or CMG.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geological and engineering data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to travel to field sites as required.
