Responsibilities
- Design and optimize well completions for unconventional shale plays
- Conduct reservoir simulation studies to enhance recovery factors
- Lead field development planning for greenfield and brownfield assets
- Analyze production data to identify underperforming wells
- Develop economic models for project investment decisions
- Ensure compliance with SPE and API engineering standards
- Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance
- Present project outcomes to executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of upstream oil and gas experience
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, Nexus)
- Strong analytical skills with production forecasting expertise
- Proven track record in horizontal well design
- Knowledge of drilling and completions operations
- Valid P.E. license in Texas (or ability to obtain)
- Experience with digital oilfield technologies
