Responsibilities
- Develop and produce compelling news stories, features, and opinion pieces across multiple digital platforms including web, mobile, and social media.
- Create high-quality multimedia content, including video packages, photo essays, and interactive graphics to enhance storytelling.
- Conduct in-depth research and fact-checking to ensure all content meets our rigorous editorial standards.
- Optimize all content for SEO to maximize organic reach and audience engagement.
- Cover breaking news events with speed, accuracy, and journalistic integrity under tight deadlines.
- Mentor junior reporters and contribute to the ongoing development of our content strategy.
- Collaborate with the design and tech teams to implement innovative storytelling formats.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of professional experience in journalism, preferably in a digital-first environment.
- A strong, published portfolio demonstrating writing, video editing, and multimedia production skills.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and experience with SEO tools is essential.
- Excellent command of the English language with a sophisticated grasp of grammar and style.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict daily deadlines without compromising quality.
- Strong ethical judgment and a commitment to journalistic independence.
