- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, lead times, and turnover rates to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Visual Merchandising Oversight: Work with the visual team to ensure product presentation aligns with brand standards and drives customer engagement.
- Vendor Relations: Negotiate terms with suppliers and build strong relationships to secure exclusive products and favorable pricing.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior merchandisers and provide constructive feedback to foster professional growth within the department.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in retail merchandising, preferably in a fast-paced fashion or lifestyle environment.
- Data Proficiency: Advanced skills in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, JDA, Oracle).
- Market Knowledge: Strong understanding of current fashion trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Ability to make quick, high-stakes decisions under pressure to optimize inventory flow.
