Core Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end merchandising lifecycle, from concept to shelf. You will be responsible for analyzing sales data, managing inventory turnover, and ensuring our visual presentation aligns with luxury standards.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive merchandise plans that align with the company’s financial goals and seasonal calendars.
- Data Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including sell-through rates, gross margin, and inventory turnover to make informed buying decisions.
- Assortment Management: Curate product mixes that optimize space and appeal to target demographics while minimizing excess stock.
- Visual Merchandising Oversight: Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to ensure store environments reflect current trends and brand aesthetics.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior merchandisers and store managers, fostering a culture of excellence and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, or Fashion Management; Master’s degree (MBA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in retail merchandising, preferably within a luxury or high-volume environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Blue Yonder) is mandatory.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to interpret complex sales reports and translate data into actionable retail strategies.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to C-suite executives and stakeholders.
