Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies that align with company goals and market trends.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and optimize inventory turnover to minimize waste and maximize profit margins.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of buyers, planners, and merchandisers to ensure high performance and collaboration.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure product quality.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data, market reports, and KPIs to make informed decisions and adjust buying plans as necessary.
- Store Operations: Collaborate with store managers to ensure visual merchandising standards are met and to drive in-store sales.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in retail merchandising or buying roles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
