Responsibilities
- Analyze sales performance data and market trends to develop accurate merchandise plans and buy lists.
- Collaborate with the Buying and Design teams to curate assortments that align with consumer demand and brand identity.
- Monitor inventory levels, turnover rates, and gross margins to optimize stock positioning across all channels.
- Manage relationships with key vendors and negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
- Forecast future demand to prevent stockouts and minimize markdowns.
- Conduct regular reviews of sales reports and adjust strategies in real-time to meet quarterly targets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or category management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder management.
- Ability to travel to vendor locations and trade shows as needed.
