Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies to drive sales growth and margin expansion.
- Analyze historical data and current market trends to forecast future product needs and consumer demand.
- Collaborate closely with the buying, planning, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive product launches and promotional campaigns.
- Manage inventory levels across multiple channels, optimizing stock allocation to minimize markdowns and maximize sell-through rates.
- Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify market gaps and opportunities for product innovation.
- Present seasonal line reviews and financial recaps to executive leadership.
- Mentor and develop junior merchandising staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or planning.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in retail math and inventory management software (e.g., Blue Yonder, Retalon).
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate strategies to stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of the retail lifecycle, trend forecasting, and competitive landscape.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools.
