Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal financial plans and open-to-buy strategies.
- Analyze weekly sales performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with buying and supply chain teams to optimize inventory distribution.
- Lead markdown and promotional strategy sessions to ensure margin targets are met or exceeded.
- Mentor junior planning staff and promote a culture of analytical excellence.
- Prepare high-level reporting decks for executive leadership regarding seasonal business performance.
- Manage end-to-end lifecycle of inventory for multiple product categories.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in retail merchandise planning or allocation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas) and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of retail math, inventory turnover, and gross margin analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
- Experience with JDA/Blue Yonder or equivalent planning software is highly preferred.
