Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal merchandise financial plans aligned with company growth targets.
- Analyze weekly sales performance, inventory levels, and sell-through rates to provide actionable insights for re-ordering and markdowns.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Buying, Allocation, and Marketing teams to ensure product availability supports promotional calendars.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) budgets at the department and class levels to maximize inventory turnover.
- Mentor junior planning staff and lead training initiatives on analytical best practices.
- Prepare executive-level presentations on business performance and future growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Retail Management, or a related analytical field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and enterprise planning systems.
- Strong retail math acumen, including gross margin, turn, and WOS (weeks of supply) calculations.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize large datasets into strategic business recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
