In this role, you will lead the strategic planning process, collaborating closely with buying, supply chain, and marketing teams to ensure we deliver the right product at the right time. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal financial plans by category and region.
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to forecast future demand accurately.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) processes to maximize inventory turnover and minimize markdowns.
- Collaborate with the buying team to build assortment strategies that align with brand vision and financial targets.
- Monitor in-season performance, identifying risks and opportunities to pivot strategy swiftly.
- Mentor junior planners and analysts to foster a culture of data-backed decision-making.
- Present business performance metrics and strategic recommendations to senior executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise planning software (e.g., Oracle Retail, SAP).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners and lead project initiatives.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in a high-volume environment.
- Passion for the retail industry and deep understanding of current omnichannel market dynamics.
