Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive seasonal merchandise financial plans to maximize sales and margin potential.
- Analyze historical sales data and market trends to provide actionable insights for future assortment planning.
- Partner with cross-functional buying teams to align inventory levels with seasonal demand and promotional calendars.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) projections and execute re-forecasting based on current business performance.
- Oversee inventory allocation strategies to ensure optimal stock levels across all retail channels.
- Conduct deep-dive performance analysis on key product categories and present findings to executive leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and tool utilization for greater efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Retail Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced knowledge of retail planning software (e.g., JDA, Oracle, or SAP).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic narratives.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of the retail lifecycle and current consumer behavior patterns.
