Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal merchandise financial plans to maximize sales and gross margin.
- Analyze weekly, monthly, and quarterly business performance, providing actionable insights to cross-functional partners.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) budgets, ensuring inventory levels align with sales trends and financial targets.
- Collaborate with Buying teams to curate product assortments that balance brand vision with regional demand.
- Monitor and manage stock-to-sales ratios, identifying markdown opportunities and replenishment needs.
- Partner with Supply Chain teams to mitigate logistics risks and ensure timely stock delivery.
- Mentor junior planners and support the refinement of internal forecasting tools and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Merchandising, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise-level planning software (e.g., Oracle, JDA/Blue Yonder).
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex data sets into clear, strategic recommendations.
- Strong understanding of retail math, inventory KPIs, and promotional impact analysis.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving industry.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
