In this role, you will lead the financial planning and inventory strategy for our high-growth lifestyle categories, ensuring we balance trend-right product assortment with robust profitability.
You will work at the intersection of creative merchandising and quantitative analysis, partnering closely with buying and supply chain teams to optimize inventory health and maximize omnichannel revenue.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal financial plans and open-to-buy (OTB) strategies.
- Analyze weekly sales performance, inventory levels, and margin trends to provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with the buying team to align product assortment with regional demand and market shifts.
- Manage inventory flow and replenishment strategies to minimize markdowns and maximize full-price sell-through.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to communicate business risks and opportunities to executive leadership.
- Develop forecasting models to anticipate consumer demand across brick-and-mortar and e-commerce channels.
- Mentor junior planning staff and foster a culture of data-backed decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Complex Modeling).
- Strong familiarity with advanced retail planning software (e.g., SAP, JDA/Blue Yonder, Oracle).
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders through data storytelling and clear communication.
- Deep understanding of retail math, inventory KPIs, and supply chain logistics.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
