Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal merchandise plans that align with brand financial objectives.
- Collaborate with Buying teams to build balanced assortments that maximize product performance.
- Analyze historical sales data to forecast future demand and optimize inventory turns.
- Manage OTB (Open-to-Buy) budgets to ensure financial targets for sales, margin, and inventory are met.
- Monitor weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance, identifying risks and opportunities for growth.
- Partner with supply chain and logistics teams to oversee end-to-end stock allocation.
- Present business recaps and future strategies to executive leadership teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning or retail financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or JDA).
- Strong understanding of retail math, including GMROI, sell-through, and inventory productivity.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners and manage senior stakeholder expectations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing retail landscape.
