Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal merchandise financial plans that align with top-line sales goals and margin targets.
- Analyze weekly sales performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for in-season reforecasting.
- Collaborate closely with buying teams to curate assortments that maximize sell-through and minimize markdowns.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) budgets with precision, ensuring healthy inventory levels across all retail channels.
- Lead cross-functional meetings to align supply chain, marketing, and store operations with strategic merchandise initiatives.
- Conduct deep-dive retrospective analysis to provide actionable insights for future collection planning.
- Mentor junior analysts on best practices for data modeling and assortment optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in merchandise planning or retail financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with enterprise-level planning software (e.g., Oracle Retail, SAP, or similar).
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of driving margin improvements.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment while managing multiple, competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
