Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal financial plans by category to achieve sales, margin, and inventory targets.
- Analyze weekly sales performance, identifying trends and recommending proactive adjustments to inventory allocation.
- Collaborate with Buying and Marketing teams to align merchandise assortments with promotional strategies and customer demand.
- Oversee OTB (Open-to-Buy) management, ensuring alignment with corporate financial objectives.
- Conduct deep-dive retrospective analysis on seasonal performance to inform future buying decisions.
- Partner with supply chain stakeholders to improve turn rates and minimize markdowns.
- Mentor junior analysts on retail math, forecasting models, and inventory management best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and retail planning software (e.g., JDA, Oracle, or SAP).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Exceptional cross-functional communication and influencing skills.
- Deep understanding of retail math including GMROI, WOS, and markdown management.
- Proven track record of improving profitability in a high-growth retail environment.
