Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal merchandise financial plans to meet sales, margin, and inventory turnover goals.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) processes, providing monthly updates on sales performance and inventory exposure.
- Analyze weekly store/channel performance to identify opportunities for replenishment, markdowns, or re-allocation.
- Collaborate with the buying team to build a balanced product assortment that aligns with consumer demand and regional trends.
- Conduct deep-dive business analysis to present insights and actionable recommendations to executive leadership.
- Monitor competitive pricing and market shifts to ensure our merchandise strategy remains market-leading.
- Oversee inventory allocation strategies to ensure optimal stock levels across all retail touchpoints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and high-level knowledge of planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or JDA).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate raw data into clear, strategic narratives.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex open-to-buy processes and inventory lifecycle management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to adapt to a fast-changing retail environment and make data-backed decisions under pressure.
