Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive merchandise plans, forecasts, and strategies across multiple product categories to achieve sales, margin, and inventory objectives.
- Analyze historical data, current market trends, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and risks, adjusting plans accordingly.
- Collaborate closely with buying, design, and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive and compelling product assortment that resonates with our target customer.
- Manage inventory levels, purchase orders, and allocations to maximize sell-through, minimize markdowns, and optimize stock turns.
- Conduct in-depth performance analysis, reporting on key metrics, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Lead and mentor junior planners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practices within the planning department.
- Drive process improvements and implement new planning tools or methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in strategic business reviews and present seasonal plans, identifying future growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Retail Merchandising, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in merchandise planning, inventory management, or financial planning within the retail industry, preferably luxury or high-end fashion.
- Proven track record of driving significant sales and profit growth through effective planning strategies.
- Expert proficiency in retail planning software (e.g., JDA, Oracle Retail, perencanaan solutions) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in mentoring or managing a team.
