Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process for new product development (NPD) from concept to production launch.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct rigorous stress analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to validate component durability and thermal performance under extreme conditions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and supply chain managers, to resolve technical integration issues.
- Oversee prototype fabrication and manage testing phases, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to ensure product reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (PE license is a plus).
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design within the manufacturing, automotive, or energy sectors.
- Proficient in advanced CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Siemens NX.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding, 3D Printing).
- Experience with thermal analysis software and simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
