Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Lead the mechanical design of complex industrial systems and consumer products using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
- Prototyping & Testing: Develop detailed 2D and 3D models, create prototypes, and conduct rigorous stress testing and simulations (FEA) to validate performance.
- Project Management: Oversee project timelines, manage engineering budgets, and coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth transition from design to mass production.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and ISO quality management systems.
- Mentorship: Guide junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the R&D department.
- Material Selection: Analyze material properties to select the optimal components for durability, weight reduction, and cost-efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks is preferred) and FEA analysis tools.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex engineering challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
