Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design, development, and testing of robotic systems and hardware components using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and stress testing to ensure product integrity and safety standards compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, firmware developers, and product managers to define mechanical requirements.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept and prototyping through to mass production and launch.
  • Identify and implement manufacturing processes, material selections, and cost-reduction strategies.
  • Drive innovation by researching emerging technologies in mechatronics and actuation systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Industrial Design.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within the robotics, consumer electronics, or automotive industries.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and simulation tools (SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or CATIA).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including injection molding, CNC machining, and 3D printing.
  • Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and design for assembly (DFA).
