Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design, development, and testing of robotic systems and hardware components using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and stress testing to ensure product integrity and safety standards compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, firmware developers, and product managers to define mechanical requirements.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept and prototyping through to mass production and launch.
- Identify and implement manufacturing processes, material selections, and cost-reduction strategies.
- Drive innovation by researching emerging technologies in mechatronics and actuation systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or Industrial Design.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in mechanical design, preferably within the robotics, consumer electronics, or automotive industries.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and simulation tools (SolidWorks, PTC Creo, or CATIA).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including injection molding, CNC machining, and 3D printing.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and design for assembly (DFA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
