Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and validation of complex mechanical systems for next-generation robotic platforms.
  • Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including FEA, stress, and thermal analysis, to ensure robust and reliable designs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams from concept to production.
  • Drive prototyping, testing, and iteration cycles to refine designs and optimize performance.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including CAD models, drawings, and specifications.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for cost-effectiveness and scalability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design, preferably with a focus on robotics, automation, or complex electromechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, PTC Creo) and PDM systems.
  • Strong analytical skills, with hands-on experience in FEA simulation and engineering calculations.
  • Demonstrated ability to take products from concept through to manufacturing (DFM).
  • Expertise in GD&T, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
