Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and engineering of complex robotic assemblies, ensuring precision and durability.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Conduct rigorous stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate design integrity under operational loads.
- Collaborate closely with electrical and software engineers to integrate mechanical components into the overall system architecture.
- Oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing, machining, and assembly testing.
- Perform failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to mitigate risks and improve product reliability.
- Partner with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are optimized for efficient and cost-effective production.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within robotics, automation, or manufacturing.
- Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or PTC Creo.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with simulation tools (FEA/CFD) and manufacturing processes (CNC, Injection Molding, 3D Printing).
- Proven track record of managing projects from concept through to production release.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
