Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex robotic systems and automation machinery from concept through to production.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Siemens NX) to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Conduct rigorous finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal analysis to validate component performance under stress.
- Collaborate closely with electrical and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical and control systems.
- Oversee the prototyping process, manage testing protocols, and iterate designs based on empirical data.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and quality assurance protocols throughout the engineering lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the robotics, automation, or aerospace sectors.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD platforms.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
