Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of automated manufacturing systems using CAD/CAM tools
- Conduct FEA simulations and material analysis to optimize product performance
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation including assembly drawings and BOMs
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams on integrated system architectures
- Implement DFM/DFA principles for cost-effective manufacturing solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in mechanical design for industrial automation
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes
- Proven track record of successful product development from concept to launch
- Experience with mechatronic systems and motion control
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or eligibility
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
