Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process, from concept through to mass production, ensuring compliance with industry standards (GD&T, ISO, ASME).
- Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create detailed 2D drawings and 3D parametric models of complex assemblies.
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate design integrity and performance under various operating conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and product managers, to integrate mechanical systems with electronic controls.
- Oversee the prototyping and testing phases, analyzing data to iterate and optimize designs for manufacturability (DFM) and cost-efficiency.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during the design review process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) and simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, or MATLAB).
- Strong understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
