Responsibilities
- Lead Mechanical Design: Conceptualize and design complex mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks and CAD software.
- Analysis & Validation: Perform detailed finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate design integrity under load.
- Prototyping: Oversee the fabrication and testing of physical prototypes, utilizing rapid prototyping and manufacturing techniques.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on powertrain, automotive, or aerospace systems.
- Software Skills: Expert proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo; familiarity with FEA tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of GD&T standards, material selection, and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a strong drive for continuous improvement.
