Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design process from concept generation to final production, ensuring high-quality standards and manufacturability.
- Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor) to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings.
- Conduct thorough testing, analysis, and validation of prototypes to ensure product performance and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and industrial designers.
- Perform stress analysis, finite element analysis (FEA), and dynamic simulations to optimize component durability.
- Manage the bill of materials (BOM) and work with vendors to source high-quality components.
- Document all design specifications and engineering changes in accordance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or MSME) required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, 3D printing).
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
