Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and prototyping of advanced mechanical systems for wind turbine and solar energy installations
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal modeling to optimize component performance under extreme environmental conditions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for energy storage and transmission systems
- Manage project timelines and budgets while ensuring compliance with ASME and ISO standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews to maintain design integrity
- Research emerging materials and manufacturing techniques to enhance system efficiency and durability
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in energy sector mechanical design with renewable energy focus
- Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, or equivalent)
- Strong background in structural analysis and fluid dynamics principles
- Certification in project management (PMP or equivalent) desirable
- Demonstrated experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work in fast-paced environments
