Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design projects from concept to production using SolidWorks and NX
- Perform FEA/CFD analysis for structural integrity and thermal optimization
- Develop detailed manufacturing documentation including GD&T drawings and BOMs
- Collaborate with materials engineers to select optimal alloys and composites
- Prototype validation through physical testing and digital twin validation
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years aerospace experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of AS9100 and DO-160 certification requirements
- Experience with composite materials and aluminum fabrication processes
- Proven track record in managing complex mechanical systems from design to certification
- Strong problem-solving skills with DFMEA and root cause analysis expertise
