Responsibilities
- Lead the full product lifecycle from conceptual design and prototyping to mass production.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA) to create detailed engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Perform rigorous stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity and performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing specialists, and project managers.
- Develop and test physical prototypes to refine designs and improve functionality.
- Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company quality control procedures.
- Document technical specifications, bills of materials, and assembly instructions for manufacturing teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design within the manufacturing or automotive sector.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting with a strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with FEA simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) and testing methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical documentation and client presentations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
