Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization and detailed design of complex mechanical systems using CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred)
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to validate structural integrity and thermal performance
- Develop prototypes and oversee testing procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to integrate mechatronic solutions
- Optimize manufacturing processes for cost efficiency and scalability
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in product development, preferably in automotive or aerospace
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, ANSYS, or equivalent)
- Deep understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from concept to production
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
