Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design lifecycle from conceptualization to validation testing
- Develop and optimize thermal management systems using CFD/FEA tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical solutions with electrical and software systems
- Create detailed technical documentation, including CAD models, BOMs, and test protocols
- Conduct root cause analysis for field failures and implement robust design improvements
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in thermal management system design for high-performance applications
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC)
- Experience with DFMEA and DFM principles in product development
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Knowledge of automotive or energy storage systems highly desirable
