Job Overview:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will own the mechanical design process from concept to final validation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists to ensure seamless integration and high-quality output.
Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of complex industrial systems and consumer products using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
- Perform detailed stress analysis, thermal analysis, and dynamic simulations using FEA tools.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs, and design specifications.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and assembly efficiency.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation experiments to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive, robotics, or industrial equipment sectors.
- Proven proficiency in 3D modeling and drafting with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, and sheet metal fabrication.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
