Responsibilities
- Lead Mechanical Design: Spearhead the mechanical design, development, and prototyping of complex product systems from concept to mass production.
- CAD & Simulation: Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL) to validate designs and optimize performance under various load conditions.
- Prototyping & Testing: Oversee the creation of physical prototypes and conduct rigorous testing to ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Compliance & Documentation: Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including BOMs, design reports, and technical specifications in strict adherence to GD&T standards.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the manufacturing, robotics, or automotive industries.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and FEA analysis tools. Experience with PDM/PLM systems is a plus.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex engineering challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant industry quality standards.
