Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design and development of new products from concept through to mass production.
  • Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo) to create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
  • Conduct thorough engineering analyses, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations, to validate product performance.
  • Collaborate closely with manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance teams to resolve design for manufacturability (DFM) issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during the prototyping and testing phases.
  • Manage BOM (Bill of Materials) and ensure all engineering documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Participate in regular design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
  • Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or PTC Creo.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with FEA analysis tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
