Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and development of new products from concept through to mass production.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo) to create detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Conduct thorough engineering analyses, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermal simulations, to validate product performance.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, procurement, and quality assurance teams to resolve design for manufacturability (DFM) issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance during the prototyping and testing phases.
- Manage BOM (Bill of Materials) and ensure all engineering documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Participate in regular design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficient in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or PTC Creo.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with FEA analysis tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar) is highly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
