Responsibilities
- Design complex mechanical components and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo).
- Conduct detailed stress analysis, thermal analysis, and simulation using CAE tools.
- Develop and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly.
- Lead prototype testing and validation cycles to ensure product reliability.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or CATIA) and 2D drafting (AutoCAD).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
