Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex mechanical components and systems using SolidWorks and ANSYS.
- Conduct detailed structural analysis, thermal analysis, and FEA simulations to validate product performance under various operating conditions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing specialists to ensure seamless integration.
- Develop and execute rigorous testing protocols, including prototyping, bench testing, and field validation, to ensure reliability and safety standards.
- Identify potential design flaws and implement cost-effective solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce material waste.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including CAD drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications, adhering to ISO and ASME standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the automotive or heavy machinery industry.
- Proven proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo, and simulation tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and manufacturing processes (CNC, injection molding, metal fabrication).
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience with project management methodologies and the ability to lead technical teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
