Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design and development of automotive components using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Conduct detailed stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure product durability and safety.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to define product requirements.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including BOMs, assembly drawings, and technical reports.
- Oversee the prototyping process, including 3D printing, CNC machining, and in-house testing.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and increase manufacturing efficiency.
- Present technical concepts and design reviews to stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the automotive or aerospace industry.
- Proficient in CAD software, including SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus) is a strong plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
